About the great sword
Emberglass is the name smiths give the slag that cools in a furnace throat: a dull red stone that holds heat long after the fire is gone. This blade is built around a core of it, pinned between two plates of blackened steel, so the edge is steel and the weight is glass. Swung overhead, it lands with the conviction of something that has been waiting. The guard is a plain bar, the pommel is wrapped in wire, and the weapon is deliberately ugly in a way that reads as honest. Greatswords are slow; this one is merely patient. Its heat makes a shield arm reconsider.

How to obtain it
